Nutritional Kyoto’s wild boar is used as main ingredient, which is high protein, low calories and low fats. Wild boar provides rich protein, vitamin and mineral with no food additive. Palatable wild boar is high in protein and hypoallergenic, which can strength dogs’ muscles and immunity. Sliced jerky is suitable for medium-sized and giant dog breed. What are the differences between domesticated boar and wild boar?
1. Feed
Low cost grain, seed or agricultural surplus are usually used to feed domesticated boars. Sometimes antibiotics and hormone are also used for those boars, which are harmful for your dogs’ health. For wild boars, they will prey on the most suitable food in the nature, so there is less chance for them to intake chemical substances.
2. Nutritional ingredient of boar
Domesticated boars are being fatten up for slaughter, so they are relatively high fat and high calories. Instead, since wild boars can roam in the wild freely, so they are relatively low fat and rich in Vitamin D. Additionally, wild boars contain high level of proteins, minerals and antioxidant, which are nutritional.
3. Humane slaughter
Humane slaughter intends to prevent “needless suffering” of livestock during slaughter. Shotgun will not be used when hunting wild boars. Meanwhile, only traps are set up when catching so as to prevent them from suffering. Also, the quality of boar meat can be maintained.
4. Boar meat handling
The ジビエ(gibier) factory is located in Kyoto. Wild boars which distanced within one hour from the factory will be caught only to maintain their freshnesses. “Air-Drying” is used to evaporate boar meat’s moisture slowly and gently in order to keep them nutritional with great palatability. All procedures are proceeded in Japan and the products are directly shipped from there.
